Make a Difference (MAD) to your life, that is, to take positive actions and do something different from your usual routine in order to achieve an extraordinary and memorable experience.
Innovative sideway learning opportunities, that is, learning not by book content but by actual living experience.
Courage to venture outside one³Õ comfort zone, that is, to be able to adjust to different conditions in a pleasant and uncomplaining manner.
Enjoy the unique experience and friendship of the MICE family.

I had my first international cultural exchange when a Japanese high school visited my college for a friendly baseball game. I was inspired to purchase a Japanese dictionary to keep up the correspondences with my friends and subsequently, to major in Japanese Studies in the National University of Singapore. I worked hard enough to earn myself a scholarship to spend a meaningful one year in Nanzan University in Nagoya where I had numerous wonderful homestay experiences and warm families. I was also appointed as the 4th Grassroot Ambassador by the Nagoya International Centre to promote Singapore in the city of Nagoya, which is now my second hometown.
After returning from Japan, I packed off to Germany where I spent a year as an Au-pair madchen (babysitter), enjoying a farm-stay experience at Hespe which now became my third hometown.
As an active member in the MacPherson Community Club of Singapore, I was fortunate to be selected to participate in the Ship for Southeast Asian Youth (also known as the Youth Ship).
Through all these eye-opening activities and experience, I truly believe that if we give the right exposure to our children, the seeds of today will grow into a forest of peace, harmony and respect for the world. Join me to grow this forest.
MICE is a non-profit initiative by me. It is still in its infancy stage and its growth depends on your contributions ¨C ideas, effort, suggestion, cooperation. I would like to urge all of us who share the same passion to join the MICE family and contribute whatever you have to offer. You might even want to send some of your experiences captured in the photographs with some captions so that we could upload them to share with other members of the MICE family. You could even help to organize some of the services, take advantage of the services, participate in the services, dream of more services etc.
As the parent of MICE family, I warmly welcome you to the family.
