I'm Fumiaki Ikushima, the director of CLAIR Singapore.

CLAIR is a non-profit organization founded and operated by Japanese Local Governments jointly in order to assist international exchange activities of Japanese Local Governments. CLAIR Singapore is one of the overseas offices of CLAIR.

If you have an interest in our activities, please refer to our home page.http://www.clair.org.sg Through the activities of my office, I’m very well acquainted with Mrs, Tan-Ng Leng Leng. She is really a person of an international friendship long standing with Japanese. I have the deep respect for her contribution to cultivating international goodwill between citizens of Singapore and Japan. So, I'd like to give my hearty recommendation to Mrs. Tan-Ng Leng Leng's new program "The M.I.C.E.Family". I wish this program every success.

"M.I.C.E truly reflects the passion of someone who has benefitted from interacting with various nationalities and now wants to "pay it forward" by spreading the goodwill in the form of face to face and heart to heart interaction. As the goodwill ambassador of Osaka city, I fully support such a wonderful initiative at the grassroot level to promote international understanding among different nationalities."

From June 1988 to May 1989 Mrs. Tan-Ng Leng Leng was the 4th person selected to serve as Goodwill Ambassador at the Nagoya International Center in Nagoya, Japan. This was very important for the City of Nagoya where international exchange is sought through cultural exchange among regular citizens.  During her tenure at the Nagoya International Center, Mrs. Tan-Ng Leng Leng made consistent efforts in promoting exchange with foreign countries on a personal, everyday level. After returning to Singapore, she has recently established the M.I.C.E. Family with the aim of continuing international exchange efforts that generate greater international awareness among Singapore’s citizens and to promote understanding with foreign people.  The Nagoya International Center has high expectations for this new cultural exchange program and sincerely extend our wishes for success.
